Overthinking so you don't have to.
erfect Sunday’s charming inventory has been multiplying since they unveiled a few weeks ago. They just sent me a trio of quintessential “ear candy” – these studs really look like sugary confections on itty bitty lollipop sticks – that are perfect for casual, everyday wear. How often do you come across three-packs of earrings? It’s like some Accessories Angel knew I have exactly three lobe piercings.
The jubiler collection is playful and also includes adornments for your mobile devices: Check out the earphone plugs! In Asia, cell phone charms are as prevalent as protective cases. I’m curious to see if the trend catches on in the States! They’re also a great DIY idea for reusing old knick knacks and protecting your headphone jack from light rain. (Had my phone not taken a dive for an impromptu pool party, I would have sprung for one of these.)
I asked the designer of jubiler a little bit more about South Korea:
Korea has a stronghold on soap operas. Which is your favorite? Coffee Prince
Have you seen the “Gwiyomi” video? Explain the phenomenon. Exposing themselves and interacting with others through social media became a form of entertainment. And “Gwiyomi” became a part of it to create some sort of buzz on the internet.
What does “jubiler” mean? It basically means anniversary. A time to celebrate.
Some people get thrown off by asymmetrical jewelry sets. How do you respond to them? I’m not really like everyone and love to stand out. So the products are meant to be produced with asymmetry to create something a little more special and different from other products.
Describe the person you design your jewelry for. Someone with a unique sense that loves to create and make a great first impression. This person knows how to create balance when it comes to style.
Thanks, Perfect Sunday!
