I’m touched that people are still reaching out to me to find out what happened to the Twitter account that once was…
I took a trip to Italy in May, came back, and then when June came around I kinda just – boom – announced that I had a new job. I didn’t say much about the transition because it was ridiculously quick and convenient. So much so that I’ve been concerned about the sky coming tumbling down if I step on a crack in the pavement or something. Life seems too good to be true at the moment.
So I’ll just leave it at this:
- Day before I flew off to Italy, I got a job offer.
- Next day, I flew off to Italy.
- Halfway through our trip, we were in Florence. I couldn’t sleep. Read an email from a friend that Moxsie closed.
- Flew back to California.
- Started the new job.
Sorry to all the old @moxsie fans for the lack of a formal announcement. This post, updated May 4th, ended up being my last Tweet on behalf of the indie fashion etailer that helped me cut my teeth in professionally self-inflicted multiple personality disorder across our original set of social channels:
Okay, tweeps, regular Moxsie.com tweeter @mayka is off on vacation. Enjoy our upcoming updates from @yes @deemoxsie @shilps!—

It was a good time! And now I’ve got the chance to work with high-profile entertainers and creative brands in my new role.
I’ve decided I’m just going to work in every vertical within “lifestyle.” Seems like a totally doable, totally enjoyable goal. I hope that you’ll continue to follow me along in behind-the-scenes work, sights, and thoughts.
Thank you sincerely for your support.
@mayka I noticed a drastic change. They now tweet about what they are having for lunch. No more buyer chat
