Our next door neighbor’s cat, Mishka, is a senile, funny little thing. When Billiam and I moved in almost five months ago, we pretty much accepted that she didn’t like Billiam and just got used to her running away on a whim when she’d had too much of us. The night that Billiam and I saw Zombieland, we got home after dark. As we walked away from our parked car and into the house, we noticed Mishka watching us, trailing from a very safe distance. We got into the house and I teasingly said, “Mishka, come inside!”

Oddly enough, she didn’t turn around when I spoke. In fact, she kept advancing toward us. And then she walked into our house…

Yeah, we had just stolen our neighbor’s cat, but who are we to turn away a four-legged friend when it’s lonely and cold? She acted like she owned the place and was even super loving toward Billiam! We had to oblige.

Weeks later, she came by for a second visit.

And tonight, she followed Billiam into the house when he got home from work.

My name is Mayka, and I am thankful for the senile cat who lives next door and sometimes comes into our house to fill the void of not being allowed to have pets.

Here’s Popo, Brit Sketch and Davipalooza’s kitty, right before The Significant Others (Davipalooza, Juanimator, and I) left for CTN-X. Popo is a tease. (Ending highly inappropriate!)
