I’ve received word from Magali Guidasci (Zombieland costume designer) that a majority of Woody Harrelson’s Zombieland wardrobe was vegan. I know – What?? I suppose it makes sense, if you consider the walking dead’s carnivorous pursuit of living human beings to be cannibalistic. Truthfully, though, Harrelson is renowned for being a strong advocate for hemp, organics, and veganism. Of course I didn’t know this until Guidasci pinged me.
all woody’s wardrobe from head to toe, even though it does not look like for his character purpose, was made our outsourced VEGAN whenever possible organic, or natural fiber or recycle material
Exhibit A: His hat. It’s made of tarp! Repurposed Tarp Hat by The Real Deal.

Exhibit C: His jeans. Organic, sustainable – by Of the Earth. Aside from jeans, they also offer all pieces necessary for a complete outfit: tees and sweaters, too, and even baby clothes!
Exhibit B: His boots. “All Vegan Wares shoes are made with amazingly durable ‘Lorica’ microfibre uppers, and feature high comfort and non-compressible internal cushioning material,” by Vegan Wares.
And no, Twinkies are not vegan. I don’t think they should even be classified as “food.” My eighth grade science teacher had an unwrapped Twinkie hanging from the ceiling of his classroom for twenty years. TWENTY YEARS. Nothing should last that long.
Except for love. Aww!
awesomeness, dude. want the hat and boots. the hat is reasonably priced, too! now to just figure out the size of my head…
If Woody can do it, so can you!
Pingback: Woody Harrelson “Zombieland” Wardrobe: Get The Look
I’m looking for something like the black leather Jacket Woody Harrelson wore in the first half of the movie. Any info on that?
Hmm, I haven’t heard anything about that leather jacket. It must be vintage because Harrelson’s so green. I’ll ask, though!
I’d really like to know where I can get his jacket as well, if at all possible
I’ve been in contact with Magali since, but she doesn’t know exactly who makes Woody’s jackets. They happen to be from his own collection – Sorry, guys!
dang, well thanks for trying
Sorry, J.
Might be a good excuse to hit up vintage spots, though!
ya, i just don’t even know where to look for a jacket similar to his
