Maggie’s home! It’ll take the weekend for us to know if we’re the right fit for each other. So far, possible deal-breakers:
- She DROOLS. Like Turner & Hooch, Beethoven style.
- People aren’t home all the time, and she loves people.
- There are lots of sets of short staircases, and Maggie’s not so good with the stairs…
She’s a super sweet old girl, though. We haven’t had such a social dog in years! Pictures don’t do her justice – She pretty much looks like a behemoth in every one. In person, though, she’s got gorgeous brendel markings.
She also snores hardcore.
While at the dog show (Dog show!) I also met Tucker, a 220-pound mastiff puppy. My hand covers one-quarter of his head. I love gentle giants.
With love,
The kids.

I have been eagerly awaiting your Maggie post
I want to play with her so bad!
She smells strongly of dog and drools like a…hippo? But she’s happy to play with anybody, anytime.
Adorable! Coincidentally, my dog is named Tucker. He is a chihuahua/poodle/pekingese mix though, so that mastiff could probably kill him if he sat on him, haha.
Hahah, you’re probably right – But at least it would be a smoosh of love? :X Maggie’s so super sweet, but she came with the warning that we have to be careful with her around toddlers. She loves them, but bumbling lovebug that she is, has a tendency to knock them over. Oops. :T
