I’ve written often during the downpoints of being quasi-employed, but having just come out of a great three-day weekend I’m feeling very up right now. I got my stimulus check and a paycheck that partially justifies two consecutive 6-day work weeks at a job I hate, so the birds be sangin’!
This is a smattering of materialistic inspiration. It’s a feast for your wallet. Kinda.
Behold, a handful of items I have bookmarked under the folder name “Next Paycheck.” (“Next Big Paycheck” is more accurate.) You gotta have hope, right? In this tiny, specific aspect of my life, hope is stuff I want to acquire when I have fully stabilized.
- Rakku shoe wheel – For my shoes.
There is absolutely no way in denying that this thing is cool. I’ve been watching the shoe wheel on StyleFeeder for a year and a half now, and as I look at all my shoes (Closet overturned for streamlining purposes.), it seems like a practical purchase for the near (I hope.) future.
- The new Jawbone – “Because having a conversation shouldn’t be a crime.”
Chatting while driving without a headset is now ilegal, so I’m going to have problems. The only time I make time to really hold phone conversations with people is when I’m on the freeway in steady traffic, and I do not own a bluetooth headset. I’m thinking of getting one of these purty little Jawbones, and I also just found out that they’ve got a $20 rebate offer in place. Score! - Magellan Maestro 4250 – Knowing is half the battle!
Hey man, gas is expensive and I don’t have any immediate plans to buy the iPhone. A decent GPS would do a better job of getting me from Point A to Point B in the straightest line possible than just me and Google Maps directions. - Boutique 9 Boseda platform sandals – Hot tranny mess!
These look fabulous. By themselves they look ridiculous, but I bet with the right outfit, they’d be super hot. (Thank you, TheFind.)
Wook at the widdle pink wibbon!
- Sweet digs – Deliver me from this place.
It’s time to move.

Go get me there, tiger!
