Three or four gunshots heard within a mile radius from apartment. - June 16, 2008.
Approximately fifteen gunshots heard within a 0.25-mile radius from apartment.Missing Rice student’s car found parked in acquaintance’s parking lot. (This sounds like some silly Into the Wild copycat, freals.)
- June 17, 2008.
Acquaintance, walking en route for work commute, caught in the middle of an FBI/SWAT raid north of apartment. Involved smoke bombs, a shootout, and FBI shields. - June 18, 2008.
Arrived home to see firetruck lights spinning in front of a house half a block down the street.Landlord asked what the possibility is of me moving out by August; he has a prospective tenant on the lookout.
- June 19, 2008. Man shot dead in his apartment this morning, one block away from “my” BART stop.“Working girl”-lookin’ ladies discovered on Google Maps in neighboring city.
I may as well use this blog to my advantage: I’m interested in moving to San Francisco or back to the South Bay. Any neighborhood suggestions?
Editor’s Note: Did you know a drug cartel exists called the Acorns? Really? Acorns? Where you from? OAKland, SMOKIN’. Still sounds corny. (Please don’t find me if you read this, Acorns. I am but a wee blogger.)
UPDATE: Pretty sure that raid the acquaintance witnessed was part of the Acorn raid. Wow.
