Karis is so hot!

What an exciting time for LGBTQs! Philips is coming out with a new line of razor – the Satinelle-Ice – which has ice cubes or some such things in it. (I don’t shave my legs; I don’t understand these things.) The campaign for the product is really the amazing part of the launch, though. The face of Satinelle is a beautiful man by the name of Karis. As you can see by the commercial above, he is totally hot. Boinkology has an interview with the guy, and it’s just really refreshing to read.

Beautifully shot. Beautifully edited. If hearing the male voice over the montage of gorgeous females isn’t enough to tip you off, at about 0:35 you see a little bit o’ nip. On mainstream television you only get to see the goodies if the object of the gaze is a man, animal, or female Crank Yanker puppet. (Freals, it’s remarkable how much they let puppets get away with when actual humans only supply the voice.) There’s much more I could say about this, but in the end, I just think it’s beautiful. (Song’s kinda weird, though, “You oughtta know that I wanna get it right?” Huh? Is there a “right?”)

DDB London created the ad, and with my recent discovery of True Agency, I just want to plop myself down at the stoops of the world’s most creative agencies and say “Will work for creative freedom!”

Update: The Satinelle is not a razor, it is “an epilator (it pulls the hair our rather than shaves).” – Thanks for the note, Neil!

The ad’s actually for an epilator (it pulls the hair our rather than shaves). It does have an ice-pack to make it very gentle. Perfect for people who aren’t great with pain..

Thanks, Neil! Having never needed to invest in leg-shaving paraphernalia, I had only a vague idea that such a thing even exists.

    Edited.

Congrats on an ad well-done. :)
