My stay in New York was a whirlwind tour of the city. I was essentially there for three days and two nights, and on the night before my morning flight back to SFO, I didn’t sleep at all. It was a great stay, though. I went through the entire weekend not knowing what time it is, not having enough time to adjust nor feel especially uncomfortable. I saw a lot and looked at the different things on the other side of the USA. It was a break in Bay Area landscape, and it was perfect. (Editor’s Note: I just wrote the review of my vacation in the middle entry about the trip and not the beginning or the end. OMGIMCRAZY!)

kitchenette counterbrick o' marshmallow

If seeking brunch near Harlem, look no farther than Amsterdam and 125th. Kitchenette (Uptown) has the cutest café décor ever, and their hot chocolate comes topped with a brick of marshmallow.

I'M THE PRETTIEST WOMAN EVER.

Upon looking at Uniqlo’s store displays, I am only affirmed in thinking Chloe Sevigny is strange and overrated. They do got some funny shirts, though. And I regret not buying one of their umbrellas.

coochie beach @ yellow rat bastard

Yellow Rat Bastard is a pretty happening place. It’s like the anti-fashion version of H&M, plus they sell books.

If Rice to Riches opened up in California, I would move just to be in range of their free delivery.

Rack and Soul serves some delicious biscuits with honey baked into the top. It’s a popular place and they only prepare x amount of each food every day, so be prepared to find out they’ve run out of ribs or cole slaw. I’d also suggest the okra, which comes with tomato and corn, as opposed to the collard greens, which “Tastes exactly like it looks.”

You have been made aware that the “Cactus Juice” at Sip contains 1800 liquor, and no actual cactus juice.
